Weekday schedule for the three weeks of the festival. Students may participate in all classes. Classes meet every day except where noted. Please read about our curriculum to learn how students can tailor their experience at the festival to meet their needs.

| 6:25am-7:20am | Pranayama (Yoga)— Facilitates deep relaxation, full energy flow and an experience of harmony and unity through breath. Taught by Sarah Imhoff-Jones. |

| 8:15am-8:55am | Pre-Technique— Promotes strength and stamina and prepares the body for the rigorous demands of the day. Taught by Winifred Crumrine. |

Modern— Two levels of modern classes share these hours with Ballet and Choreography Lab. Provides vital training for integrating alignment, movement skills, and spatial clarity. Emphasizes ease, efficiency, musicality, and expression. Taught by Jim Lepore and Paul Dennis. The modern faculty alternate sections so that every student has the opportunity to dance with both.
Ballet— Two levels of ballet classes share these hours with Modern and Choreography Lab. Supplies serious ballet and modern students with intensive classical training. Builds coordination, agility, vocabulary, and strength. Taught by James Martin.
Choreography Lab— The Choreography Lab is an environment in which students create new choices and investigate how these can be applied to choreography and teaching. (It is part of the coursework for students in the Choreography and Creativity and the For the Teacher focuses. It meets on alternate days.) |

| 1:15pm-2:45pm | Laban Movement Analysis/Movement Lab — Introduces participants to Rudolf Laban's work on movement analysis, including ways of exploring and organizing space, shape and effort. This class encourages the exploration of personal style and vocabulary to increase dramatic range in performance, rehearsal and class environments. The composition section of this class builds on the LMA work as a tool for choreography. This class is taught by Jim Lepore. |
| 3:00pm-4:15pm | Yoga and Repertory/Choreography — Yoga and repertory/choreography share these time periods. Students will either work with a faculty member or a Festival participant who is creating a new work, in preparation for performances each weekend of the festival. In the alternate period, participants will take a yoga class taught by Sarah Imhoff-Jones. Sarah's class is a mix of Hatha and Rasa styles, with emphases on breath, release and proper placement. |

| 7:00pm-8:15pm | Anatomy and Kinesiology/Bartenieff Fundamentals — A class on the functional anatomy of the living, moving, dancing body. Students learn basic anatomy as it functions in their own bodies with anatomical diagrams and movement explorations. Irmgard Bartenieff's developmental movement Fundamentals™ are intended to help students find new approaches to movement efficiency and whole body integration through attention to breath support, weight shift and locomotion patterns. Food for thought (Monday - Thursday) — Nightly group meeting and snack break for students and faculty. Topics will include dance for camera (with video screenings), massage and restorative bodywork, dance in the real world, music for dancers, and much more.
Creative Concert (Friday) — features new works by festival participants and faculty, performed by festival participants. For more information, see Performances. |
